Face Attendance App for Field Staff
Staff open the app and punch Login. The app checks their face first, then marks attendance with time and location. Only the right person can punch, from their own phone, wherever their day starts.
Android and iOS. Works on the phones your staff already carry.
Proxy Attendance Stops Here
In many field teams, one person punches attendance for a friend who is late or absent. An attendance machine at the office cannot stop this, because field staff start their day at client sites, not at the office gate. A face attendance app solves both problems: the punch happens on the employee’s own phone, wherever the day starts, and the face check makes sure the right person is punching.
No Proxy Punching
With face matching on, the Login punch that marks attendance is accepted only when the face matches the designated employee. A colleague cannot punch for someone else, and holding up a photo does not work.
No Machines to Buy
Attendance runs on the phones your staff already carry, on Android and iOS. No biometric machines to buy or maintain, and punching is touchless: no shared fingerprint scanner.
Works Where Staff Work
Staff punch from the client site, the warehouse or the first stop of the day. Every punch carries the time and the exact location it was made from.
How Face Recognition Attendance Works
Whether you call it a face recognition attendance app, a facial recognition attendance app, face recognition attendance software or a selfie attendance app, the punch takes a few seconds.
1. Open the app and punch Login
The employee opens Field Task Manager on their own phone and taps the Login punch to start the day.
2. The camera checks the face
AI face recognition matches the face against the employee's profile, on the phone itself with a local face model. Liveness detection checks that a real person is in front of the camera, so a photo of the face does not work.
3. Attendance is marked
The punch is recorded with the time and the location it was made from, and attendance is marked for the day. If you choose, an automatic selfie also uploads with the punch, so you can verify the face on the platform as well.
4. GPS tracking runs until Logout
The Login punch also starts live location tracking, so working hours and distance travelled are recorded for the day.
Marks Attendance Even Without Internet
Field staff spend time in basements, factories and rural beats where the network drops. The punch still works: it is stored on the phone with its time and location, and syncs to the platform when the network returns. Nothing is lost in the gap: we call it zero data loss. Read how the system works without internet.
Attendance Reports Built From Real Punches
Every report is built from verified punches, so the numbers need no cross-checking.
- Day-by-day attendance for any date range
- Check-in and check-out time, each with its location
- Working hours and total distance travelled per day
- Geofence arrival and departure times at client sites
- View online, print to PDF or download as Excel
One Punch Starts the Whole Day
The Login punch does more than mark presence. It starts the full field day:
Live location on the map
Supervisors see where staff are right now and can replay any day's movement point by point.
Tasks in appointment order
The day's visits open in the same app, sorted by appointment time.
Distance for travel allowance
Kilometres are recorded through the day, so TA can be paid on real distance instead of claims.

Face Attendance App FAQs
What is a face attendance app?
A face attendance app lets employees mark attendance by showing their face to their phone camera. Some people call it a photo attendance app or an AI attendance system. It is a complete attendance system using face recognition: the app checks the face, then records the punch with the time and the location it was made from. It replaces attendance machines for teams that work outside an office.
Can one employee punch attendance for another?
No. With face matching turned on, the Login punch that marks attendance is accepted only when the face on camera matches the designated employee. Liveness detection also rejects a photo held up to the camera, so a real person must be present. This ends proxy attendance in field teams.
Does face attendance work without internet?
Yes. The system is offline by design. The punch is stored on the phone with its time and location and syncs automatically when the network returns, so no attendance is lost in areas with no network.
Do we need biometric attendance machines?
No. Attendance runs on the phones your staff already carry, on both Android and iOS. There is no machine from eSSL, ZKTeco or any other vendor to buy or install, and field staff do not need to travel to a machine to punch.
Does the app track employees after work hours?
No. Location tracking runs only from the Login punch to the Logout punch. After Logout, no tracking happens, even if phone location stays on and the app keeps its location permission.
Can face attendance work together with geofences?
Yes. You can create geofences around client sites and the system records arrival and departure times at each one. Supervisors can also get real-time notifications when staff arrive or leave.
